The MV Black Manta embodies state of the art technology, a high standard of accommodation, and exceptional service from a highly experienced crew. At 32 meters (105 ft.) long and 7 meters (23 ft.) wide she is one of the largest Similan liveaboards cruising the Andaman Sea. With four large decks she accommodates a maximum of 20 guests in two private standard cabins, two private deluxe twin/double bed cabins, two private deluxe bunk twin cabins, two private deluxe double bed cabins, and one Master (Family) Suite which sleeps four with a double bed and two extra twin beds. Each beautifully appointed cabin is en-suite and features a sea view window, with the exception of the standard cabins which share a common shower and toilet. The standard cabins are an incredible opportunity for tthe budget minded diver who would like a bit of luxury and doesn't mind shared bathroom facilities. All of the main deck cabins have panoramic windows overlooking the magnificent Andaman Sea while the lower deck cabins have porthole style windows which add rustic charm reminiscent of the infamous "Titanic". All cabins are extremely comfortable and well appointed.
Heart and soul has gone into the design and construction of the Black Manta, making her one of the most beautiful, safe, and comfortable Similan Liveaboards in Thailand. One of the primary reasons she is so popular is because of the enthusiasm the crew puts into the cruises; their commitment to customer service is Job One. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the ultimate in Similan liveaboard diving. The little extras like daily maid service, warm towels after dives, internet access, and massage service put the MV Black Manta in a class of her own. Her services and standards far exceed her price point. Thailand Liveaboard diving at its very best. A Dive Adventures Asia Top Pick!

Entertainment, Dining, and Common Areas
The beautifully appointed saloon is located on the upper deck where there is also a large outdoor area for dining or watching an evening sunset. Like the rest of the vessel the saloon is finished in gorgeous asian hard woods giving her a richness like no other. Polished hard wood adorns the walls and decks, and all of the built-in furniture is crafted from wood. Liveaboard diving vessels using this type of construction are few and far between due to the high cost of wood and the lack of experienced craftsmen. No expense has been spared to make you feel comfortable, pleased, and proud of your surroundings. The lighting has been deliberately planned down to the last detail to show off the wood and to be easy on your eyes. The saloon is also equipped with a state of the art entertainment center with stereo, CD, DVD, and Plasma T.V.
On the upper most deck there is a huge sundeck for soaking up the rays or stargazing in the evening.
A Dive Deck with Comfort in Mind and Gas to Spare
The dive deck has been designed with comfort and convenience in mind. There is plenty of area for suiting up and loads of storage for your personal equipment. Each diver will be assigned his or her own station and your gear will remain set up during the entire cruise. Tanks are filled at this station, so you never have to worry about moving your equipment except to get in the water, and the caring crew will help you with that. Personal gear is stored at your station in intelligently designed boxes, and wet suits are hung up to dry on a custom rack. Cameras are stored apart from your personal gear on special camera shelves, and out of the air-conditioned areas to avoid lens fogging. There are two showers outside for a quick rinse after the dives.
There is also a full Enriched Air Nitrox station on board for those of you who are certified Nitrox divers. For those of you not yet Nitrox certified, courses are available during the trip for your convenience.
Safety First
All safety and emergency equipment is SOLAS approved and meets international safety standards. The Black Manta is equipped with SOLAS life preservers; two SOLAS approved life rafts, emergency transponders, and automatic satellite distress transmitters. All cabins and other rooms on the boat are fitted with smoke and fire detectors. There is plenty of Oxygen on board for dive emergencies if they occur.
