When to dive the Maldives? That depends on what you are looking for. The Maldives have a tropical climate year round with warm temperatures and a great deal of sunshine. Diving is a year round activity but different times of the year offer different advantages.
- November through April has the best overall weather and diving conditions, confirmed trip departures
- May through August is a wet season and may result in less sunshine and less visibility, but fewer divers
- December through March has the best overall visibility
- April, May, June and October are the months with the greatest probability of Whale Shark and Manta sightings
