Built in 2007 the MV Sachika has quickly distinguished herself as one of the most experienced and luxurious Maldives liveaboards cruising the Indian Ocean. At 33 meters long (108 ft.) and 10 meters (33 ft.) wide she is a huge Maldivian style luxury cruiser that will accommodate up to 20 divers in 10 tastefully appointed and en-suite cabins. She has a beautiful air-conditioned interior saloon and a several large outdoor social areas to accommodate individual divers or full charters. Built for diving and oceanic voyages the Sachika is one of the only liveaboards at this price point to offer massage services and an outdoor jacuzzi in addition to all of her other outstanding facilities and services.

Departing from the capital city of Male for her one week liveaboard safaris to the hallmark destinations of North and South Male Atolls, Ari Atoll, and Rasdhoo Atoll you will experience some of the best diving available in the Maldives. The Cabins

With 10 rustically appointed cabins in three configurations there is a cabin for singles, couples, and families alike. All cabins are extremely well laid out, roomy, and spacious. Each cabin has an en-suite toilet and shower as well as a LCD T.V., DVD player, music system, and mini bar. Your stay on the Sachika will be with the utmost comfort.

Sachika Offers Three Different Cabin Choices: 3 Superior Suites (King Size Bed - Upper Deck - Sea Views), 1 Junior Suite (King Size Bed and a Twin Bed - Lower Deck), 6 Standard Cabins (4 with Double Beds and 2 with Twin Beds - Lower Deck).

Entertainment, Dining, and Services!

The main deck indoor saloon houses the home entertainment system including a T.V., DVD and stereo. There is a small movie and music library as well as plenty of marine and general interest books for your use. The saloon has large picture windows with panoramic views and is a great area for socializing or relaxing in the evenings or in the afternoon between dives. There are a number of plug in points for your laptop computer, and wi-fi internet access is available on some trips.

The Sachika also features an air-conditioned indoor restaurant where your meals are served buffet style and consist of delicious local and international cuisine. Coffee, tea, fruit, biscuits, snacks and a limited amount of drinking water are all free of charge. There are numerous snacks available throughout the day which include: fresh fruits, grain cereals, and tasty biscuits. Eat and drink as much as you like as you will need your energy for the world class diving. For relaxing with your fellow divers in the evening there is great selection of local beer, spirits, and wine available at a reasonable cost.

If you would like to enjoy the great outdoors make yourself comfortable on the upper sun deck on one of the cozy lounge chairs and brush up on your tan lines or just relax in the shaded area. This area also features a jacuzzi which is the perfect place to relax after diving or to enjoy cocktail in the evening.

For even more space head to the upper rear deck outdoor lounge and relax in a lounge chair or head to the area outside in front of the saloon for an amazing view of your destination the and a sea breeze that will take your breath away.

A Dive Dhoni with it All!

Diving activities are conducted from a huge 19 meter (63 ft.) custom built dive dhoni which will accommodate 20 divers in comfort. The dive dhoni is accompanied by a captain and dive staff. The dive dhoni is a fully functioning diving vessel that will provide fast and safe transfers to all the dive sites.

Designed with comfort and convenience in mind, the dive dhoni is staffed and operated by experienced dive professionals with varied backgrounds. All dive personnel are specially trained in the marine ecology of the Maldives and are more than happy to show divers the local attractions as well as impart their knowledge of the local marine environment. The enthusiasm and dedication of the dive staff is evident in their interaction with guests, always with special attention on educating divers and promoting the safety and protection of the amazing ecosystem of the Maldives.

Liveaboard Trip Prices Include: All prices are per person and include accommodation on board, all meals, most drinks (drinking water, coffee, tea, etc.), professional dive master services, scuba tanks, weights, weight belt, air, up to 3 dives per day, one night dive per week, BBQ on a deserted island when possible, Maldivian Government Sales Tax of 6.0 %, and the Maldivian Bed Tax of $8.00 per night.. We also include greeting and transfer to and from Male International Airport and the liveaboard. Group discounts are available on request for groups of 10 or more. The Single Supplement is 60% of the diver rate. The non diver rate is the same as the diver rate.

Additional Charges: Equipment rental is not included in the above prices and can be paid for upon arrival. Equipment rental is $25 U.S. per day for a full set of equipment. PADI diving courses, additional bottled water, soft drinks,and alcoholic beverages will also be paid for on the boat. Please note there may be a fuel surcharge depending on the current price of fuel. Dive computers for every diver are obligatory in the Maldives and can be rented upon arrival.

How to Get There: With so many international air carriers flying directly into Male, the capital city of the Maldives, there is no need to book your liveaboard trip as part of a package deal and pay hidden fees. The most cost effective way to dive the Maldives is to pick a liveaboard of interest and then book your flights directly to Male. You will be greeted in Male and transferred to your liveaboard. Its that easy!

There are direct flights from Europe, Asia, and the United States. If your flying from the U.S. the most direct route is via Singapore.

Sachika Maldives Itinerary

The itinerary of the Sachika is meant to deliver the best diving of the Maldives within the time allotted for the liveaboard cruise. Her schedule will consist primarily of 8 Day / 7 Night cruises to the best dive sites around the Ari, Rasdhoo, N. Male, and S. Male Atolls. All Sachika liveaboard cruises will depart from Hulhule harbor near the capital city of Male.

Sample Itinerary

Day of Boarding (First Day on the Sachika)
Morning or afternoon flight to Male International Airport, pick up and transfer from the airport by speed boat or dive dhoni (depending on sea conditions the boat ride takes about 10 minutes). You should try to arrive as close to 12:00 noon as possible. If you have later flight pick up can be arranged to accommodate your schedule. Some guests will arrive the day before boarding and stay at a nearby hotel on Male or Hulhule.

Diving Days (Depending on the length of the Cruise)

• Up to 3 Dives per Day

Day of Departure ( Last Day on the Sachika)
Morning breakfast and gear packing, then transfer by boat to the Male International Airport around 7:30 a.m. to connect with your departing flight.
