The Sheena has seven well appointed and air conditioned en-suite cabins, combined with a crew and management known for outstanding customer service and exclusive dive safaris.
With year round trips departing from Medhufushi Resort in the Southern Maldives the Sheena has quickly become popular and widely known among discerning divers looking for exploratory diving off the beaten path. Her Maldives diving cruises will visit all of the best dive sites of Meemu, Laamu, and Thaa Atolls and include an awe inspiring seaplane ride to Meemu Atoll. Sheena Offers Two Different Cabin Sizes: 2 Deluxe Cabins (Double Size Bed - Upper Deck), 5 Standard Twin Cabins (Twin Size Bed - Lower Deck).
Each Cabin Features all the Comforts of Home:
- Individually Controlled Air-Conditioning
- Private Bathroom and Toilet with Hot / Cold Water Walk In Shower
- Hand Basin and Bathroom Counter Space
- Bathroom Towels
- Bed Linens
- Bed Side Reading Lamp
- Wardrobe and Shelves
- Vanity Mirror
- 2 pin 220V electricity ( international adaptor available)
- Luggage Space
The Double Bed Cabins are a bit more spacious at 17 square meters and outstanding it you want the most comfort and space available. The best value for the money, would be the Lower Deck Standard Cabins. The Standard Cabins are ideal for divers traveling alone or for dive buddies looking for twin beds.
Entertainment, Dining, and Common Areas
When it comes to outdoor and indoor common areas for kicking back on your Maldives diving holiday the Sheena has you covered with several decks offering either shade or exposure to the sun. There are three shade covered areas which are located on the main deck in front of the saloon, on the main deck at the rear of the saloon, and on the upper deck at the stern of the boat. There is also a large indoor air conditioned saloon for cooling off between dives. All areas are furnished with comfortable lounge chairs, wooden tables, and afford stunning views of the Indian Ocean.
The main deck indoor saloon houses the home entertainment system including a TV, DVD and stereo. There is a small movie and music library as well as plenty of marine and general interest books for your use. The saloon has large picture windows with panoramic views and is a great area for socializing or relaxing in the evenings or afternoons. There is also a small camera charging table in this area for all your photography equipment
For sun lovers there is an amazing tanning area on the upper deck complete with huge sun loungers. This is our favorite area to catch an afternoon nap, brush up on our tan lines, or watch the sunset with a cool beer. Don't miss out on the sunrise from the highest point on the liveaboard.
Meals are usually served alfresco on the main deck at the rear of the liveaboard, but can also be enjoyed inside the air conditioned saloon. The food is served buffet style and is always a highlight of the trip, with the chef specializing in a variety of western and asian cuisine. Eat as much as you like and enjoy a fine selection of spirits, beer, and wine from the full service bar!
The Menu Specialties Are:
- Thai, Chinese, Italian, Japanese and Local Cuisine
- Main Meals include a Pre-Dive Breakfast, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Afternoon Snacks
- Snacks are a Variety of Biscuits and Fresh Fruit
- Tea, Coffee and Drinking Water are Always Complimentary
- Soft Drinks, Beer, Wine, and Spirits are Available for Purchase
- Special Diets are Catered to with Advance Notice
One of the best meals of each trip is the island barbeque arranged on a stunning white sand beach just before sunset. Enjoy the food, the sand, the stars, and your fellow divers!
A Custom Dive Dhoni!
Diving activities are conducted from a custom built dive dhoni which will accommodate 14 divers in comfort. The dive dhoni is accompanied by a captain and dive staff. The dive dhoni is a fully functioning diving vessel that will provide fast and safe transfers to all the dive sites.
Designed with comfort and convenience in mind, the dive dhoni is staffed and operated by experienced dive professionals with varied backgrounds. All dive personnel are specially trained in the marine ecology of the Maldives and are more than happy to show divers the local attractions as well as impart their knowledge of the local marine environment. The enthusiasm and dedication of the dive staff is evident in their interaction with guests, always with special attention on educating divers and promoting the safety and protection of the amazing ecosystem of the Maldives.
The Dive Dhoni is Equipped with the Following:
- Fresh Water Shower at the Rear
- Fresh Water Tank for Cameras
- Air Compressors
- Gear Rack
Please note: It is compulsory for each diver to wear a dive computer and to be in possession of a surface marker buoy, and an alternate air source. For night dives one torch is required as well as a strobe light per buddy team. All needed equipment can be rented during the trip.

How to Get There: With so many international air carriers flying directly into Male, the capital city of the Maldives, there is no need to book your liveaboard trip as part of a package deal and pay hidden fees. The most cost effective way to dive the Maldives is to pick a liveaboard of interest and then book your flights directly to Male. You will be greeted in Male and transferred to your liveaboard. Its that easy!
There are direct flights from Europe, Asia, and the United States. If your flying from the U.S. the most direct route is via Singapore.
As the Sheena departs from Medhufushi Resort in the Southern Maldives, once you arrive in Male you will need to catch a domestic seaplane flight to Meemu Atoll. We will help coordinate this flight for you. After a fabulous seaplane ride to the southern reaches of the Maldives Archipelago you will be greeted at the Medhufushi Resort and transferred to your liveaboard.

Diving Days (Depending on the length of the Cruise)
- Up to 3 Dives per Day
- 1 Night Dive per Cruise
Day of Departure ( Last Day on the Sheena)
Morning breakfast and gear packing, then transfer by boat to the seaplane for your flight to Male International Airport.
Note: This does not represent an exact itinerary, it is approximate only. Every cruise is different. Itineraries depend on current conditions, time of year, weather, captain, cruise director, and guest preferences. We do our best to put you at the best sites possible on every dive.
We take no responsibility for scheduling or itinerary changes due to changing weather, political situations, natural disasters or other events beyond our control. We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any kind of trip you do anywhere in the world. We also recommend that you have DAN or other diving accident insurance up to date and current in case of an unanticipated evacuation or other treatment that may not be covered by your regular insurance.
