Built
in the year 2000, the MV Ocean Rover has quickly become one of the
most popular liveaboard diving vessels on the planet, especially
among photographers. She clearly sets the standard for world class
diving operations and offers a liveaboard diving experience you
will never forget.
At 30 meters (100 ft.) long and 8 meters (26 ft.) wide she comfortably
accommodates sixteen guests in eight spacious cabins. All cabins
have en-suite bathrooms, are individually air conditioned, and designed
to accommodate both singles and couples. The cabins are all located
on the upper and main decks and feature either panoramic windows,
or dual portholes for enjoying the stunning views of some of Southeast
Asia's most prisitine diving locations. The spacious saloon offers
a comfortable dining and sitting area, is fully equipped with an
entertainment center, and has a dedicated camera charging station
with both 220/110V outlets. The saloon interior has been kept light
and airy with a relaxed atmosphere, has a refreshments corner for
snacking between dives, a computer for sending and receiving e-mail,
and boasts one of the most extensive marine life libraries found
on any liveaboard worldwide.. For relaxing and socializing between
dives there is a partially shaded sun deck which has a second refreshment
corner, large picnic style table for dining, and cozy lounge chairs
for catching some rays or enjoying an evening sea breeze.
Built with photographers in mind the huge dive deck has several
camera tables and rinse tanks to ensure that divers have a safe
place to keep their expensive cameras both before and after the
dive. The gearing up area is huge, as would be appropriate for a
vessel of this size, and every care has been taken to ensure that
diving operations are easy and painless.
Ocean Rover's sixteen passengers are looked after by twelve of the
most experienced crew members in all of Southeast Asia; they are
extremely helpful, understand how valuable your equipment is, and
excel at locating rare and difficult to find marine life specimens.
All of her crew have been trained according to the Standards of
Training, Certification and WatchKeeping for Seafarers 1978 &
1995. She is also one of the safest vessels operating anywhere in
the world, is fitted with the latest communication and navigation
equipment, and is IMO(International Maritime Organization), SOLAS
(Safety of Life at Sea), ISM (International Safety Management),
and ISPS (International Code for the Security of Ships and Port
Facilities) certified.
Don't miss one of her expeditions to Thailand and Burma, Indonesia
or Malaysia!
