The MV Philkade, which started dive operations in 2004, is one of the most luxurious and comfortable liveaboard diving boats in all of Southeast Asia, and has raised the standard of luxury liveaboard diving in the Komodo Islands to a new level. Built originally as a private yacht to the highest international standards, she was converted into a luxury liveaboard diving vessel in 2002, and is now offering regularly scheduled dive trips, for the discerning diver, to the best dive sites from Lombok to the Komodo Islands National Park. Luxury Cabins
At 29 meters (95 ft.) long, with three 3 decks and a fly bridge the Philkade accommodates a maximum of 12-13 guests in one Deluxe cabin, three Superior cabins and two Standard cabins which are all exquisitely appointed, have en-suite facilities,include daily maid service, and have individually controlled air-conditioning. The Deluxe cabin is absolutely unbelievable, featuring a huge king size bed, panoramic windows, leather sofa, home theatre system with TV and DVD, onboard telephone system, personal safe, dressing table,and a huge wardrobe. This is the only cabin which is on the main deck and has private doors connected to the interior saloon and outdoor areas. The remaining five cabins are on the lower deck and are accessed by a staircase from the main saloon. There are three incredible Superior cabins which feature double queen size beds, onboard telephone system, personal safe, and large wardrobe. The remaining two cabins are Standard cabins also featuring onboard telephones, personal safe, and wardrobes. One of the Standard cabins has a double bed and the other three single beds. The two Standard cabins share a connected shower and toilet making it perfect for a large family, group, or divers looking to save a little money and still experience the luxury of the MV Philkade.
Entertainment, Dining, and Common Areas
One of the main features of the the Philkade is her beautifully appointed interior saloon, on the main deck, which is finished in gorgeous teak wood, leather, and stunning black granite. The richness of the woods, polished stone and the shear size of the 70 square meter (700 sq. ft.) saloon make you feel like your on a mega yacht surrounded in luxury. The saloon is furnished with two large and comfortable leather sofas, black granite dining and sofa tables, and a bar with a black granite counter for relaxing in the evening or after your dives. There is also a state of the art home entertainment center with TV, DVD, and PC workstation for viewing digital photos and video from your dives. The computer has most necessary software programs and a CD burner for you to save your dive holiday memories.
On the upper deck there is a beautiful wood dining table and chairs outdoors that is perfect for dining alfresco under the stars in the evening or just relaxing with a cocktail watching the evening sunset. Also on the upper deck, forward of the wheelhouse is a large sundeck for sunbathing which offers beautiful views of the open seas during the day and incredible stargazing opportunities in the evening hours. Don't forget the spacious fly bridge the highest point on the liveaboard with it's eagle eye views, bbq station, and sofas for relaxing in the afternoon breeze.

Liveaboard Trip Prices Include: all prices are per person and include accommodation on board, all meals, most drinks (drinking water, coffee, tea, etc.), professional dive master services, scuba tanks, weights, weight belt, air, and 3-4 dives per day. We also include airport or hotel transfers from Mataram Lombok.
Additional Charges: equipment rental and national park fees are not included in the above prices and can be paid for upon arrival. Equipment rental is generally $20-$25 U.S. for a full set of equipment, depending on availability. Komodo National park and port fees are $80.00 U.S., approximately. PADI diving courses, nitrox fills, and alcoholic beverages will be paid for on the boat.
The Philkade also requires that you purchase diving accident insurance before departure, you must show proof of insurance before you board the boat. If you do not have it, you will be required to purchase it on the boat.

The itinerary of the Philkade is meant to deliver the best diving from Lombok to the Komodo Islands National Park in the time allotted for the liveaboard cruise. Her schedule will consist of 8 Day and 9 Night cruises to the best dive sites from Lombok to the Komodo and Rinca Islands.
Sample Itinerary
Day of Departure (First evening on the Philkade)
Pickup from hotel or airport in Lombok, transfer to MV Philkade at the port of Lembar. Boat briefing and departure while having dinner.
Diving Day 1
Diving around Medang, Satonda, and Moyo Islands. Overnight travel to Sangeang. 4~Dives
Diving Day 2
Diving around Sangeang and Gili Banta, including GPS Point. 4~Dives
Diving Day 3
If conditions are favorable, dives today will be carried out at Toko Toko (Castle Rock), Gililawa Laut, and Crystal Rock with a night dive or sunset dive while cruising to Komodo. 4~Dives
Diving Days 4 to 6
Three days dedicated diving within the Komodo National Park. Conditions are likely to decide the order, but expect to dive sites such as Three Sisters, Current City, Payung Island, Tatawa Kecil, Batu Bolong, Yellow Wall, and Cannibal Rock. There will also be the chance to go ashore and participate in an early morning walk on Komodo Island, with rangers, to see the world famous Komodo Dragons, among other wonders on the island. 12~Dives
Diving Day 7
Two more dives in the National Park before heading west again to finish with dives on Gili Banta and possibly Sangeang. Overnight to Satonda. 3 to 4 Dives
Diving Day 8
Depending on conditions, dives on either Medang, Satonda, or Moyo Islands. 2 to 3 Dives
Day of Return ( Last Morning on the Philkade)
Arrive at the port of Lembar. Transfer to the hotel/airport after breakfast onboard.
