Completed in 2003, MV Queen Scuba was designed to to be one of the
largest and most comfortable boats cruising the Andaman Sea. At
28 meters (92ft.) long and 6.5 meters (20 ft.) wide she accommodates
a maximum of 19 guests in nine air conditioned, en-suite cabins.
She has one master cabin and five "VIP" or deluxe cabins
which offer double-bed accommodation for couples. She also has three
cabins with single beds down below; two of them are for two people,
and one is a triple. The cabins are priced according to comfort
level and size. The highest comfort comes with a price as on most
boats. The Master cabin is the nicest room on the boat and offers
a large king-sized bed, a large well-appointed ensuite bathroom
with hot water, a DVD entertainment system with movies, a complimentary
fruit basket, and panoramic ocean views. The five VIP cabins all
have a large double beds, a large ensuite bathroom with hot water,
air conditioning, a complimentary fruit basket, and ocean views.
The standard cabins which are located below deck are also en-suite
and feature air conditioning.
Most meals are served in the covered deck area just to the rear
of the saloon. This area has wooden tables and comfortable chairs
where you'll enjoy the view while dining on delicious Western and
Thai cuisine.
The dive deck is spacious and well designed with air fills done
for you after every dive. Put your gear together and forget about
it. Two dinghies will transfer you to the dive sites, or you will
giant stride off the mother ship. All pick-ups are done from the
dinghies for your convenience. Since many of the dives are drift
dives, this system works well. There is always a divemaster available
if you choose, or you can dive independenty with your buddy. There
is an enriched air nitrox station on board and nitrox ceritification
courses are available.
Queen Scuba will dive the nine fabulous islands of the Similans,
and include Koh Bon, Kon Tachai, and Richelieu Rock.
