MV Queen Scuba Liveaboard Dive FlagQueen Scuba - Raja Ampat Liveaboard

If you believe bigger is better, then the MV Queen Scuba is definitely the Raja Ampat liveaboard for you. Completed in 2003, she was designed to to be one of the largest and most comfortable liveaboard diving vessels cruising the seas of Southeast Asia. At 28 meters (92ft.) long and 6.5 meters (20 ft.) wide she accommodates a maximum of 18 guests in nine air conditioned, en-suite cabins. She has one Master Cabin with a king size bed, and five V.I.P. Cabins which are extremely well appointed and offer double / twin bed accommodation for couples or singles. There are also two Standard Cabins available with single beds on the lower deck; one of them is for two people, and one is for three people.

The cabins are priced according to comfort level and size. The highest comfort comes with a price as on most boats. The Master Cabin is the nicest room on the boat and offers a large king-sized bed, a large well-appointed en suite bathroom with hot water, a DVD entertainment system with a recent selection of movies, a complimentary fruit basket, and incredible panoramic ocean views. The five VIP Cabins all have large double or twin beds, a large en suite bathroom with hot water, air conditioning, a complimentary fruit basket, and the same incredible ocean views. The Standard Cabins also feature en-suite bathrooms with hot water, two meter long beds, and good cold air conditioning. The Queen Scuba is an exceptional liveaboard for couples or divers traveling in large groups. With her unique itinerary you can choose to dive the dive sites of North or South Raja Ampat or combine the two for the best diving on the planet. A Dive Adventures Asia Top Pick!

Entertainment, Dining, and Common Areas

The beautiful air conditioned saloon, which is appointed in asian hard woods, is large enough to seat everyone on the boat, comes complete with a wide-screen television, DVD entertainment system, a very large selection of all the newest movies, and a full color big screen modern global positioning system to keep track of your location. This area is a favorite place to cool off between dives, enjoy some fresh tropical fruit, or relax with an evening glass of wine or cocktail.

Most meals are served in the shaded deck area just to the rear of the saloon. This area has asian hard wood tables and comfortable chairs where you'll enjoy the spectacular view and a sea breeze while dining on delicious Western food, Asian cuisine, and fresh breads served buffet style. There will be complimentary snacks, fresh fruits, cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks served throughout the day. The food is exceptional so eat as much as you like.

There is a wonderfully large area on the upper most deck for relaxing in the sun or star gazing in the evenings. This is a great place to just sit back and relax.

A Dive Deck Like No Other

The dive deck is spacious and well designed with air fills done for you after every dive. Put your gear together at the beginning of the trip and forget about it. Two dinghies will transfer you to the dive sites, or you will giant stride off of the large dive deck. All pick-ups are done from the dinghies for your convenience. Since many of the dives are drift dives, this system works well for liveaboard diving the Raja Ampat Islands. There is always a dive master available if you choose, or you can dive independently with your buddy.

There is a full Enriched Air Nitrox station on board for those of you who are certified Nitrox divers. For those of you not yet Nitrox certified, courses are available during the trip for your convenience.

For your safety the Queen Scuba is more strict about PADI diving requirements than many other liveaboards. Only Open Water divers with logged deep or night dive experience will be able to participate in these dives. However, you can take advantage of the instructors on board and do a PADI Advanced Open Water course while on the trip and dive at your leisure.
