Sai Mai specializes in small groups, top quality customer service, and outstanding cruises to the Similan Islands, Mergui Archipelago in Burma, and the less visited southern islands of Thailand which include the best of the Phi Phi Islands, Koh Ha, Koh Rok, Hin Daeng, Hin Muang, and the magical islands of the Koh Tarutao National Park. With her unique itinerary the Sai Mai has the broadest offering, visiting more of the top diving destinations than any other Thailand liveaboard.
Constructed of and finished with beautiful asian hard woods the Sai Mai is 21 meters long (69 ft.) and 5.5 meters wide (18 ft.). A Character of Her Own
Sai Mai has a wonderful open air entertainment and dining area located on the spacious and well appointed upper deck. This shaded area serves as the main gathering place for dive briefings, diving courses, watching films, playing games, and socializing in the evenings or between dives. This is our favorite area of this Burma liveaboard as it has an extremely social and open feeling where guests can enjoy the freedom of being on the open sea and taking in the best of Thailand and Burma. Meals are served here three times a day, buffet-style, with a variety of tasty Thai and European cuisine to choose from. Tropical fruits, snacks, hot tea, coffee and soft drinks are freely available throughout the trip. Beer, wine and other cocktails are available for purchase at the MV Sai Mai sea view dining lounge.
The lounge area is also equipped with an entertainment system featuring a TV, video system, music player, and lap top computer for editing your digital photos.
Don't forget the spacious sun deck complete with lounge chairs, in front of the wheel house, which is perfect for warming up in the tropical sun or unwinding after a full day of diving the mysterious Mergui Archipelago.
Huge Dive Deck and Nitrox
The dive deck was intelligently designed for ease of use and to make your scuba diving as easy and enjoyable as possible. There is extra storage space for photography and video equipment, separate wetsuit drying racks, two custom made water exit ladders, and a rinse tank for your underwater cameras/ video equipment, and dive computers. The dive deck which is at water level is huge and never crowded when there are only 8 divers on the boat.
Sai Mai is also equipped with a full Enriched Air Nitrox blending station on board for those of you who are certified nitrox divers and would like to take advantage of longer, deeper dive time. For those of you not yet nitrox certified, specialty nitrox courses are available during the trip for your convenience, just ask us for information.

In addition to her extreme comfort the MV Sai Mai was built to rigorous International Maritime Standards of Safety. She is capable of transoceanic voyages, and has the latest in communication and safety equipment on board. She was designed as a vessel which offers the ultimate in safety and comfort for those interested in a truly unforgettable liveaboard diving holiday.
